Golf Practice Tips

Make The Most Of Your Practice Time

I’m a big proponent of purposeful, focused golf practice.

We’ve all heard that practice makes perfect“, and you may have already found out for yourself that this isn’t true. In reality, practice makes permanent.

If you practice getting it right, it follows that you’ll need a lot less of it.

We all know that with the pressures of modern life and trying to find that work–life balance, your golf practice is often the activity that gets reduced or neglected completely.

In this section of the site you’ll find golf practice tips, routines and sessions to help you make the most of your time at the range.

If this is the case, you have even more reason to practice with purpose. Try to approach each practice session with a defined and achievable goal. Be aware that most golfers practice the things that they are already quite good at, as this is often more enjoyable. But that won’t be as beneficial when you get out onto the golf course.

Contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to give up your life to the practice range in order to become a very good golfer.

Yes, you might need to spend some time initially, ingraining a proper golf setup and solid golf swing fundamentals, but once you have those, maintaining them is relatively straight-forward.

Divide your driving range session and your basket of balls into 3 phases – a warm up phase, a solid practice phase and then a cool down phase.
